Sarah has been with Tiverton since June 2019. She assists with Tiverton’s accounting and administrative functions.
Prior to Tiverton, Sarah spent almost 11 years with Ernst & Young, LLP, most recently as a Senior Manager in the Audit practice where she served both public and private companies across various industries.
Sarah holds a BS in Business Administration and a Master of Accounting, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Brek is a Principal Tiverton Principal of over eight years and third generation farmer who grew up on his family’s farm in Brooklyn, Wisconsin.
Prior to Tiverton, Brek began his farming career 22 years ago and grew his business, B2 Farms, into a multi-state, 6,000+-acre farming operation. Crops grown include corn, wheat, soybeans, cotton, popcorn, green beans, peas, and sweet corn.
Brek is a graduate of The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers and a member of the Association of Agriculture Producing Executives. Brek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Business Management from the University of Wisconsin.
Monte is a Tiverton Principal of over five years, a fourth generation Arizona cotton farmer, and one of the leading agribusiness professionals in the Southwest.
Prior to joining Tiverton, Monte was the Founder and Managing Partner of Nevitt & Associates (and its predecessor Scythe & Spade), one of the largest farm management firms in the Western US. Nevitt & Associates grew to manage over $700MM of agricultural assets throughout the Southwest.
For 20 years, Monte worked for the USDA in various capacities, most recently as the Assistant State Director for Arizona. Monte is a graduate of The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers and remains active in the local community as a leader for the Boy Scouts and various civic, church and service organizations. Monte holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Brigham Young University.
Andrew is an Director and has been with Tiverton for over four years. He has over 7 years and $1+ Billion worth of financial transaction experience.
Prior to Tiverton, Andrew spent 3 years at C.J. Harris and Company, an M&A advisory and investment banking firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Previously, Andrew was with Fidelity Investments’ Fixed Income group in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
Andrew holds a BS from North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management, with concentrations in both Finance and Entrepreneurship, and an Accounting Minor.
Ignacio is a Senior Associate with over 2 years and $150 million worth of financial transaction experience.
Prior to Tiverton, Ignacio spent 1 year at RBC in their food and beverage credit group based out of Los Angeles, California. Previously, Ignacio was with Auxo Investment Partners, a middle-market private equity firm based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Ignacio holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Pepperdine University with a concentration in Finance and supplemental coursework at Pepperdine’s Caruso School of Law.
Leigh joined Tiverton in 2022 serving as Chief of Staff.
Prior to joining Tiverton, Leigh spent 7 years at St. David’s School serving the Head of School and Board of Trustees across a variety of operational and administrative functional areas. Leigh has extensive experience in Strategic Planning, Marketing, Communications, Event Planning and Execution, and Project Management.
Leigh holds a B.S. from Elon University in Communications.
Morgan joined Tiverton as a Senior Associate in August of 2021 with over 5 years and $1.8+ billion worth of financial transaction experience.
Prior to Tiverton, Morgan spent 2 years at The Carlyle Group, as an Investment Associate on the U.S. Real Estate team in Washington D.C. Previously, Morgan was an Investment Analyst at Northwood Investors, a global real estate private equity firm based in New York, NY.
Morgan holds a BA in Political Science from Yale University.
Eric is a Senior Associate with Tiverton having joined in the summer of 2021.
Prior to joining Tiverton, Eric spent 15 years at Northwest Farm Credit Services as a Relationship Manager handling farmers’ capital needs across 250 plus commodities grown in the Pacific Northwest. Eric’s experience stretches from young and beginning farming operations through working with the region’s largest fully integrated processors.
Coming from family farms that have been in Oregon for over four generations, Eric’s passion to be involved in Ag guided him to Ag Business Management and Economics degree with Oregon State University. Today Eric and his wife continue their family heritage operating their own farming operation and raising their children in the lifestyle.
Prior to joining Tiverton, Sean spent the past 18 years in the Farm Credit system and in Commercial Banking with a focus on financing large scale vertically integrated agricultural operations, working with operators throughout the Western US. Experience includes project finance, complex irrigation district finance, permanent crop development, tree fruit and nuts, vineyard, vegetable and row crops, food/crop processing, business acquisition and expansion.
Sean received his degree in Economics from CSU Sacramento and quickly transitioned into a career focusing his passion for agriculture and finance, counseling farm operations towards improved efficiencies and financial performance.
Sean leads Tiverton’s Pacific Northwest office located in Salem, OR.
Jonathan is a Director at Tiverton. He has worked in principal investing since 2007 and has over $3 billion worth of transaction experience.
Prior to Tiverton, Jonathan spent 11 years at Triangle Capital where he was most recently a Vice President on the investment team. He was also a Partner at Oak City Capital Partners and the Director of Transaction Services at Thomas, Judy & Tucker.
Jonathan is a graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and holds a Masters of Accounting from UNC.
Trey joined Tiverton as a Senior Associate in September 2020.
His work experience prior to joining the team includes 3 years as Investment Associate / Senior Associate at Perpetual Capital Partners – family office for Robert Allbritton (founder of Politico Media) in Arlington, VA, and 2 years as Strategy & Operations Business Analyst at Deloitte Consulting, based in McLean, VA.
Trey holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University, minors in Economics and Spanish.
Adam is a Director with over 6 years and $1 billion worth of financial transaction experience. Prior to Tiverton, Adam spent 3 years at MercuryGate International, a supply chain logistics SaaS company based in Raleigh, NC.
Previously, Adam spent over 6 years with International Farming Corporation in their Acquisitions and Asset Management groups, an Agriculture private equity firm in Raleigh, NC.
Adam holds an AB in Finance from East Carolina University.
Jacob joined Tiverton as an intern in January 2020, transitioning to full time in June 2020.
Prior to Tiverton, Jacob was with SAS Institute, a data analytics software developer in Cary, NC, working with the Global Reporting and Analysis group.
Jacob holds a BS in Business Administration from North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management, with a concentration in Finance. He also holds a minor in Accounting.
David is Tiverton’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialist. He has been with Tiverton over five years. After working for the US Army and receiving his BA in Political Science from Iowa State University, he obtained his Master of Applied Science in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Arizona State. He is responsible for agronomic research and Ag data research matters.
Griff is a Director and has been with Tiverton for over three years. He has 13 years and $1 Billion worth of financial transaction experience.
Prior to Tiverton, Griff spent 4 years at BlackArch Partners, an M&A advisory and investment banking firm based in Charlotte, NC. Previously, Griff was with Morgan Creek Capital Management in their Credit Strategies group, and EFCG, Inc., a boutique financial consulting firm in New York.
Griff holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and an AB in Economics from Harvard University.
Christian is a Tiverton Operating Principal of over 7 years and has been involved in agricultural asset management, crop insurance and farm brokerage for more than 19 years. He manages over 50,000 acres of farmland and Ag investments across six states.
Christian received his Master in Agribusiness Finance from Arizona State University in 2003 and earned his BS in Accounting from the Sonora Institute of Technology (Mexico) in 2000.
He was previously an adjunct professor at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, teaching both agribusiness and finance. Christian also holds the Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) designation granted by the American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers.
Brian is a Tiverton Operating Principal of over four years with over 23 years of Ag and 6 years of corporate finance experience.
Uniquely, Brian has founded and manages a 15,000+ acre farming operation in Arizona (A&B Farms) and has executed over $1B in finance transactions while an investment banker and investor in New York. He has worked as both an advisor and principal for Macquarie Capital, Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers.
Brian holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and a BS in Business from Arizona State University.
David is the Founder and Managing Partner of Tiverton. He founded the firm in 2013 and has over 20 years and $65 billion worth of transaction experience.
Prior to founding Tiverton, David spent 10 years at Morgan Stanley where he was most recently a Director for Morgan Stanley Real Estate.
David previously worked for McKinsey & Company, Goldman Sachs & Co. and was the Chief Strategic Officer for International Farming Corp. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and serves on its Advisory Board.
Kara joined the Tiverton team in December 2019. She currently serves as the Office Manager assisting the CEO’s office as well as managing the Human Resources, Marketing and IT functions.
Prior to Tiverton, Kara spent 7 years as the Director of Human Resources and Office Operations for a high growth software company.
Kara holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Florida with a concentration in Business.
Devin Murphy is a Principal and the President of Phillips Edison & Company, an owner and operator of grocery anchored shopping centers. He previously served as Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley.
He began his real estate career in 1986 when he joined the real estate group at Morgan Stanley as an associate. Prior to rejoining Morgan Stanley in June 2009, Mr. Murphy was a managing partner of Coventry Real Estate Advisors. Prior to joining Coventry, Mr. Murphy served as global head of real estate investment banking for Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. At Deutsche Bank, Mr. Murphy ran a team of over 100 professionals located in eight offices in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Mr. Murphy’s Deutsche Bank team was recognized as an industry leader and under his management executed over 500 separate transactions on behalf of clients representing total transaction volume exceeding $400 billion. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Murphy was with Morgan Stanley for 15 years. He held a number of senior positions at Morgan Stanley including co-head of U.S. real estate investment banking and head of the private capital markets group. During the time that Mr. Murphy ran PCM, the team raised in excess of $5 billion of equity capital. Mr. Murphy served on the investment committee of the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds from 1994 until his departure in 2004. During his tenure on the investment committee, the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds invested over $6.5 billion of equity capital globally in transactions with a total transaction value in excess of $35 billion. Mr. Murphy is an advisory director of Hawkeye Partners, a real estate private equity firm headquartered in Austin, Texas, and of Trigate Capital, a real estate private equity firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Murphy is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Pension Real Estate Association and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (“NAREIT”).
He received a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
